A global product director in the food industry experienced a career crisis and was outplaced by his organisation.

We were instructed to help the director to evaluate his career to date, learn from his successes and failures and decide on a new career, perhaps in self-employment.

 

Method

We supported the director through outplacement, helping him to build his confidence, assess his successes and failures and learn from this process.

After much discussion, the director decided he wanted to set up his own business producing food products.

We worked with him to develop his business plan, assisted in raising finance and provided ongoing coaching support as his new business evolved.

Our focus was on helping him to analyse complex business challenges and make difficult decisions that risked his own capital.

 

Outcomes

After several years, the director has a very profitable multi million Euro business operating in two continents.
