The Fresh Air Learning Company was founded by Dave Stewart.
Dave’s passion for developing high-performing teams stems from his experience of mountain rescue teams, Special Forces units, and rock bands; as well as a range of “normal” executive teams in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
Dave is a Chartered Director with the Institute of Directors.
He holds a Masters degree in Organisational Change from Ashridge Business School, an MBA from the Open University. He has a first degree in Physics.
Dave is an experienced and active mountain leader and holds memberships of Mountain Training UK and the Institute for Outdoor Learning.
He loves long treks, whether in the UK or at altitude in the Himalayas.
Dave loves the wild outdoors, and particularly the West Coast of Scotland with its white beaches, crystal water, rocky islands and mountains.
Antique maps and the stories they tell fascinate him.
He loves real conversations and laughter, and is always inspired by the stories people tell of lives fully lived.
An eternal optimist, Dave’s favourite line is “Always look on the bright side of life.” as sung by Eric Idle in the Life of Brian and the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
